Integrated pharmacy fulfilment platform provider iA has signed a distribution agreement with Euclid Medical Products, an automated packaging and barcode systems provider.

As part of the agreement, iA will integrate Euclid’s Axial Adherence Packaging Technology into its EXiA Enterprise Software Suite.

This integration will enhance dispensing capabilities, including medication safety, efficiency adherence, and workflow within iA’s Pharmacy Fulfilment Platform.

The packaging solution offers prescription filling and dispensing into patient-specific multidose packets.

It will also provide iA’s customers with multiple medication dispensing methods besides the traditional bottle or vial methodologies.

In addition, the partnership will enable the company to diversify its collaborative efforts across pharmacy settings, which include community, retail, health system, speciality, and federal pharmacies.

iA CEO Marvin Richardson said: “We’re excited to embark on this collaborative partnership with Euclid. Our two companies share a vision of improving healthcare outcomes through robust solutions. This partnership shows our dedication to further elevate our capacity to provide solutions for our valued pharmacy partners.

"We understand the importance of providing solutions that will allow the ability to meet the increasing expectations of patients who seek choice and convenience in their healthcare experiences. Together with Euclid, iA empowers pharmacy providers to reap the benefits achieved through centralised fulfilment with the patient and pharmacy operation top of mind."

iA also says it is developing solutions using advanced software and robotics to provide a sustainable work environment for pharmacy providers.
