IPG, a packaging and protective solution provider, has announced the launch of its second virtual showroom, marking a significant advancement in digital customer engagement within the packaging industry.

The showroom platform provides a 3D experience that allows users to explore IPG's packaging machinery in detail.

The virtual showroom is designed to offer customers a 360-degree view of IPG's advanced equipment from any device, providing insights into the features and functionality of the company's machinery.

This interactive experience is further enhanced by augmented reality, enabling customers to visualise IPG's solutions in their own workspace, which aids in assessing the fit and practical application of the technology.

In addition, the showroom serves as an extensive training tool, offering interactive simulations and demonstrations that enable users to fully understand and operate the machinery.

This preemptive training approach is aimed at minimising downtime and enhancing efficiency from the outset.

IPG Marketing and Client Services VP Jason Fisher said: “Accessibility lies at the heart of IPG's vision, and the virtual showroom is no exception. Whether you're across the street or across the globe, access to cutting-edge packaging solutions is just a click away.

“With IPG's commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation, the virtual showroom represents a new frontier in customer satisfaction.”

Headquartered in Florida, US, IPG develops paper and film-based pressure-sensitive and water-activated tapes, stretch films, protective packaging, and shrink films, as well as woven and non-woven products and packaging machinery.

In February 2024, it launched ExlfilmPlus PCR, a new polyolefin shrink film incorporating 35% recycled content.
