Snack brand Pringles, owned by US food manufacturing company Kellanova (formerly Kellogg), has launched new bag packaging with Pringles Mingles.

The new snack is the brand’s first bagged snack in more than 15 years.

Pringles are famous for their cylindrical container packaging, which stacks the crisps inside paperboard tubes.

The Pringles Mingles bags still feature the brand’s logo of the moustachioed "Mr P" and display the flavour combinations of Cheddar & Sour Cream, Sharp White Cheddar & Ranch, and Dill Pickle & Ranch.

Pringles US marketing lead Mauricio Jenkins commented: "Our iconic Pringles can is part of our identity — and it's not going anywhere — but we're always looking for new ways to satisfy our fans' latest cravings. The easy-to-share packaging creates a new way for them to enjoy the snack with friends and family.”

Pringles Mingles will be available at retailers across the US in October 2024.

Kellanova’s other famous snack brands include Cheez-It, Pop-Tarts, Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats, MorningStar Farms, Special K and Coco Pops.

In late 2023, Kellanova reduced the total amount of plastic packaging material used for its Cheez-It Snap’d, Cheez-It Puff’d, and Club Crisps snacks.

The company is working towards 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging by the end of 2030. Its plastic footprint by weight currently accounts for only 11% of its total packaging usage.

It will report on progress toward its commitments in a social and environmental report to be issued in 2025.
