Kingfisher Labels has inaugurated a new 22,000ft² production facility in Yate, South Gloucestershire, UK.
The opening event attracted more than 100 visitors, providing a glimpse into the self-adhesive label production process.
The facility, which opened at the recent Open House, features three flexo lines and the latest Mark Andy Digital Pro 3, installed in March this year.
The Mark Andy Digital Pro 3 press will help Kingfisher Labels address the growing demand for digital printing, work which previously has been outsourced.
The digital press toner-based engine is equipped with inline finishing capable of 23m per minute CMYK plus white at 1,200dpi.
Kingfisher Labels director Karl Jackson said: "We have invested heavily in the new premises and latest flexo and digital technology and it’s really paying dividends.
"Having digital capability rounds out our offering and shows we have grown into a good size business that can offer a full service on jobs from very short to very long, and all with a great deal of customer care."
According to the company, the installation is expected to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and meet ambitious sales targets for 2024.
During the year, Kingfisher Labels aims to increase capacity, elevate product quality, and achieve its sales goals through strategic relocation to larger premises and the adoption of cutting-edge digital printing machinery.
