Packaging solutions provider for dangerous goods Labelmaster has expanded its packaging business by offering an assortment of plastic containers, drums and pails from packaging producer Curtec.

The UN-certified containers are designed to securely fill, store and transport a wide variety of hazmat [hazardous materials] solids and powders.

Curtec’s products are aimed at companies that ship a powder or solid in a regulated industry, such as pharmaceuticals, speciality chemicals or agriculture and food products.

Made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the re-usable containers are manufactured to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards of quality and cleanliness.

Screw lid closures protect against moisture and leaks, and have an integrated tamper evidence strip that helps ensure safety and compliance.

Curtec head of global marketing John Jansen commented: “For companies that manufacture or ship high-value products such as UV curable lacquers, coated films, blended liquids, metallic powders or speciality adhesives, a small problem with your packaging can cause a big problem.”

Labelmaster director of packaging development John Glaser added: “Adding CurTec’s line of primary plastic containers to our portfolio of UN-certified packaging solutions allows us to better meet the critical hazmat shipping needs of companies worldwide.”

In 2023, Labelmaster’s own Capsuloc hazmat shipping container received a special packaging permit from the US Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration for the transport of dangerous goods.
