Agrifood company Lassonde Industries has officially inaugurated the expansion of its beverage manufacturing facility in Hendersonville, North Carolina, US.
The expansion includes a new single-serve aseptic juice production line and a 104,000ft² distribution centre.
These improvements represent a $53m investment and build on Lassonde's commitment to offer convenient packages and more of its products.
Lassonde Industries president and COO Vince Timpano said: "The expansion and improvements at the Hendersonville facility demonstrate Lassonde's commitment to a growth strategy that builds long-term value by continuously seeking new ways we can meet customer needs, particularly in the US market.
"Our investment in Hendersonville will produce immediate and long-term benefits including higher volumes and more variety of the products consumers enjoy and have come to expect from us."
Lassonde's new aseptic single-serve line in the US is claimed to be the first for the company, offering 10oz and 16oz beverage sizes in six, 12, and 24-pack solutions.
This line not only caters to the convenience of consumers on the go but also aligns with sustainability goals by reducing plastic, water, and energy usage during production.
Meanwhile, the addition of the new distribution centre is set to boost the company's overall distribution capacity.
Together, these enhancements help make Lassonde's operations more sustainable and efficient.
For the company's workforce, the expansion has created 30 additional full-time positions and offers a workplace with a strong emphasis on safety and opportunities for skill development and career growth.
