Rapid Packaging, an importer and master distributor of flexible intermediate bulk container bags, has announced the rebranding of Lawgix International to National Bulk Bag.
Starting from 1 August 2024, Lawgix International will be officially known as National Bulk Bag, a subsidiary of Rapid Packaging.
The announcement comes after Rapid Packaging acquired Lawgix in February this year to improve its industrial bag division.
The acquisition was part of its industrial bag division's global strategy to reduce costs and supplier lead time while increasing supply capacity and improving product quality.
This deal benefits customers in the food manufacturing, agriculture, resin production and other industries that use bulk bags.
Lawgix's Multi-Trip Bulk Bag Program, developed by its former president and CEO Michael Lawrentz, is stated to have been instrumental in setting new standards for reusable and cost-efficient packaging solutions.
Rapid Packaging co-CEO Mike Sime said: "We are actively building out additional capacity to support growing sustainable solutions both domestically and internationally. "Sustainability is not a trend or a nice-to-have. This is happening. Rapid Packaging is committed to lead the way."
The Multi-Trip Bulk Bag Program is at the forefront of the shift towards reusable bulk packaging.
Emphasising the principles of reusability and sustainability, the programme is claimed to have 'transformed’ the way businesses approach bulk packaging.
By leveraging reusable bags, the programme significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions and waste in landfills, contributing to a substantial environmental benefit.
Additionally, the programme enables customers to reuse bags up to 20 times, potentially reducing packaging costs by 50%.
The initiative not only demonstrates environmental responsibility but also aligns with the principles of a circular economy by promoting a sustainable, closed-loop system.
