Offset printing and packaging solutions provider Manik Printpack has unveiled its new advanced manufacturing plant in the Indian state of Haryana.

Located at Prithla, the 150,000ft² facility is claimed to be one of the largest and most advanced packaging manufacturing plants in India.

Equipped with the latest technology and machinery, the new plant will address the growing demand for high-quality packaging solutions while also strengthening the company’s position in the packaging industry.

The company expects the new facility to benefit its clients while also contributing to India’s packaging industry growth.

Manik supplies large format cartons in India and specialises in the manufacture of geyser boxes, corrugated master boxes, blister packaging cards, pharmaceutical packaging, mixer grinder boxes, window cartons, and others.

Industry veteran Dharmender Kapoor has helped the company in incorporating the latest technology and best practices in their manufacturing process for the new plant.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO)-certified company has also received the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification, highlighting its commitment to reducing environmental impact and endorsing sustainable material sourcing.

Manik director Manik Mittal said: "We are extremely proud to have achieved both the ISO and FSC certifications. These certifications align with our vision for responsible and ethical business practices.

“At Manik Printpack, we believe in delivering high-quality products while also being mindful of our impact on the environment. These certifications are a reflection of our commitment to our clients, our employees, and the planet."

Metaverse in the packaging sector

Many of the vital metaverse technologies are already being used or piloted by packaging companies, who have brought together AI, AR, VR, cloud, the IoT, and other technologies to monitor and maintain key assets remotely. The sector could also use immersive metaverse solutions to optimize packaging design and quality control—testing prototypes in a virtual world before bringing them to market. Another disruptive benefit of the metaverse will be using underlying blockchain and digital twin technologies to assist in creating more transparent and traceable supply chains.
