Pop-Tarts, the brand of toaster pastries produced and distributed by Kellogg's since 1964, is taking a trip down memory lane with its latest release.
The company has just announced the arrival of the new Pop-Tarts Throwback Packs, bringing back the designs from their iconic 1960s packaging.
This limited-edition product aims to evoke feelings of nostalgia among fans, as it pays homage to the time when Pop-Tarts first made their debut in 1964.
Throwback packs available for a limited time
The Pop-Tarts Throwback Packs are not here to stay forever. They are a special edition product, available only for a limited time. Starting from 5 June until 17 July, fans across the US can get their hands on these retro-inspired treats.
However, availability will be based on supplies, so enthusiasts are encouraged to grab them while they last. The Throwback Packs will retail for a suggested price of $3.89.
Vintage packaging with a frosted strawberry flavour
Designed to resemble the iconic 1960s Pop-Tarts branding, the packaging will undoubtedly evoke a sense of nostalgia for fans who have followed the brand throughout the years.
Moreover, the Throwback Packs will feature the brand's classic Frosted Strawberry flavour. This flavour holds a special place in Pop-Tarts' history as one of the original flavours introduced, even though the first Pop-Tarts were unfrosted. The brand introduced its first frosted Pop-Tarts in 1967.
Pop-Tarts continues to capture attention with promotions
The Pop-Tarts Throwback Packs are just the latest in a series of exciting promotions from the brand.
In the past, Pop-Tarts has collaborated with Tajin for the "Crazy Bueno" partnership, which delighted fans. Additionally, the brand released the popular Frosted Gingerbread flavour, creating even more variety for its devoted customers.
Netflix's "Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story" set to amuse audiences
In a surprising announcement last year, it was revealed that Netflix had acquired the rights to "Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story." This upcoming comedy biopic, directed, co-written and co-produced by the renowned Jerry Seinfeld, will delve into the creation of Pop-Tarts.
Seinfeld himself will star in the film alongside actors such as Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan and Peter Dinklage. According to cast member Adrian Martinez, the movie promises to be a hilarious homage to classic comedy films. Fans can anticipate a good laugh when the film hits the screens.
