Vietnamese dairy company Nutifood has adopted SIG’s DomeMini on-the-go carton bottle for its Varna brand premium adult nutrition milk.
The SIG DomeMini carton bottle offers the convenience of a plastic bottle with the environmental benefits of a carton.
Nutifood's Varna Colostrum, a nutrition formulation aimed at improving adult immunity, will now be available in this sleek, bottle-shaped carton pack, which boasts a superior plastic-to-product ratio and a distinctive design.
The partnership marks the first time the on-the-go carton bottle is available in Southeast Asia, signifying a significant shift from traditional plastic bottles to a more sustainable carton pack.
Nutifood marketing vice-president Mai Thanh Viet said: “Switching from plastic bottles to the SIG DomeMini carton bottle sets a new precedent in Vietnam for captivating and sustainable on-the-go packaging.
“We are fostering a new era of responsible consumption, empowering our consumers to make more eco-conscious choices, without any compromise on convenience while they enjoy their favourite beverage on the move.”
The ergonomic SIG DomeMini features a central DomeMiniCap that is easy to open, close, and reseal, catering to adults of all ages.
It is designed for full recyclability with FSC-certified paperboard and is produced using 100% renewable electricity, highlighting its lightweight and space-efficient design.
SIG's advanced DomeMini 12 Aseptic filling machine has the capability to fill 12,000 packages per hour across seven volume sizes ranging from 180ml to 350ml, with a swift volume changeover time of just 15 minutes.
SIG Asia Pacific president and general manager Angela Lu said: “The market for on-the-go beverages offers immense potential and our SIG DomeMini carton bottle captures perfectly the ‘paperization’ trend for less plastic packaging. We work together with Nutifood to bring more sustainable packaging solutions to the market in Southeast Asia.”
In January 2024, Ningbo Milk selected SIG‘s MiniGable small carton packaging for its chilled dairy products.
