Orbis Corporation, a reusable packaging company, has announced a lease-to-own agreement with EPM Partners for a new manufacturing facility in Greenville, Texas, US.

The agreement involves 420,000ft² of space dedicated to producing reusable pallets, totes, and bulk containers.

Significant improvements and infrastructure will be required to equip the space for Orbis' manufacturing activities.

Located approximately 50 miles north-east of Dallas, the new plant is expected to commence partial operations by the end of this year.

Orbis will also sign an agreement with EPM Partners to lease 240,000ft² of warehousing space within the same building.

Orbis president Norm Kukuk said: "We are excited to see this investment come to life and support our customers’ growth. This plant enables Orbis to expand its geographic footprint and increase production capacity to serve our customers with industry-leading solutions, while making an impact in the community."

Orbis anticipates hiring more than 190 employees within two years of starting the lease to support the new facility.

Greenville mayor Jerry Ransom: "We are excited to expand our business community with this world-class manufacturer who is focused on providing sustainable packaging solutions for the supply chain."

The financial details of the transaction between Orbis and EPM Partners have not been disclosed.

In November last year, Orbis Corporation unveiled a significant expansion of its Urbana, Ohio, US, manufacturing facility, to increase production capabilities and reinforce its commitment to sustainable packaging solutions.
