Flexible packaging company ProAmpac has announced a strategic partnership with Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Massachusetts, US, to enhance innovation and nurture talent within the organisation.
This collaboration is expected to bolster ProAmpac’s focus on 'operational excellence'.
ProAmpac stated that through engagement with emerging talent, it continues to progress in packaging innovation and process optimisation.
ProAmpac senior vice-president of operational excellence Scott Doughty said: "As a WPI alum[ni], I’m proud to offer students’ opportunities to apply their skills in real-world situations through senior capstone projects, research, and summer internships with ProAmpac.
“This partnership provides WPI students with hands-on experience while delivering valuable solutions to ProAmpac, with the potential to develop future company leaders.”
ProAmpac stated that this partnership expands its university collaborations and its dedication to continuous improvement and the cultivation of future industry leaders.
WPI Corporate Partnerships executive director David Ortendahl said: “Together with ProAmpac, we are enabling a win-win partnership which enhances student learning while providing sustainable advancements and solutions to industry.”
In September this year, ProAmpac launched the enhanced iteration of its online pouch configurator MAKR by DASL.
The following month, ProAmpac launched a new sustainable food-to-go packaging solution, called RotiBag, which serves as an alternative to conventional clamshell containers by lowering material usage.
