PulPac, a provider of sustainable packaging solutions, has completed the installation of its 'Modula' Dry Molded Fiber (DMF) converting line at Curt G. Joa’s site in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, US.
This machine, now operational, will be demonstrated to customers in collaboration with Seismic Solutions, PulPac's North American sales partner.
Designed for high-volume production of various DMF products, the Modula machine platform offers the flexibility for enhancements to the original concept.
This technology is accessible globally through licensing and is supported by a network of partners supplying all the necessary components for DMF production.
JOA, a part of PulPac's DMF network and a machine builder, delivered the Modula platform as a turnkey solution. It is collaborating with Seismic Solutions and TekPak, PulPac's tooling partner in North America.
Besides being displayed to customers, the Modula machine at JOA's site will be used to validate customer tooling and products and produce limited volumes for market testing.

The dry process technology not only reduces carbon dioxide footprint by up to 80% but is also up to ten times quicker than traditional fibre-forming, in turn making fibre-based alternatives feasible in terms of cost.
