Cosmetics packaging manufacturer Quadpack has introduced a new polyethylene terephthalate (PET) version of its Regula Prestige airless jar.

The 50ml jar has been designed to provide better safety for the formulations it holds.

The bag-in-bottle airless system features up to six barriers that help protect skincare products such as face creams or baby products.

Quadpack is offering this new version with a cap and jar in recyclable PET alongside a polypropylene pump.

The jar provides an accurate dose of 0.5ml per stroke and a higher-than-average restitution rate, in addition to preserving the product's integrity.

It has thick walls and a swan-like pump rising above a wide base that provides a versatile canvas for decoration.

The jar is compatible with most filling lines and enables the application of a host of finishes, which were produced at the company’s German facilities.

The company is also engaged in the development of a post-consumer recycled PET version, which is expected to be launched later this year.

In the meantime, Quadpack has provided its Regula Airless Refill for UK-based luxury brand Epara’s Hydrating Crème-Gel.

Epara plans to begin selling the new refills at the start of 2024.

Epara founder Ozohu Adoh said: “We love the idea of offering refills and this pack marks the start of that journey.

“The key to get people to embrace the concept is to make it effortless and seamless. Our customers are busy, professional women, so it’s only going to work if it’s easy.”
