Schoeller Allibert, a returnable plastic packaging company, has invested in the upgrade of its enterprise software suite to IFS Cloud.

This strategic move comes at a time when the packaging company is seeking to expand global operations and improve its products' sustainability performance.

It will enable the company to integrate environmental, social, governance (ESG) and circular economy practices into its operations.

IFS Cloud's biannual feature updates ensure customers can continuously access the latest software version without the disturbances of full-scale upgrades, minimising the need for customisations and enhancing business planning and capability adoption.

Allibert CIO Wouter Schepers said: "Our partnership with IFS has been instrumental in our growth journey. As we embarked on upgrading our ERP [enterprise resource planning] capabilities, IFS was our natural choice, given our longstanding trust-based relationship that we have built over time and their proven expertise which we value highly.

“IFS Cloud not only aligns with our operational needs but also propels us towards our sustainability goals. It's a strategic tool that will drive our commitment to circular economy principles and enhance our global ESG performance against set targets."

The implementation of IFS Cloud, facilitated by IFS partner 12Guide, will cater to the needs of 850 full users across the globe.

It will support various functional areas within Allibert, including supply chain, manufacturing and maintenance, asset management, and finance.

The software's multicurrency and multilanguage capabilities will standardise processing and execution for accounts payable and receivable.

In addition to upgrading its ERP system, Allibert has chosen IFS Cloud's rental management module.
