Malaysia-based bottled water provider Spritzer has launched label-free bottles for its silica-rich Natural Mineral Water product.
Spritzer will use 100% recyclable bottles that are also label-free to pack its Natural Mineral Water 1.25-litre and 550ml ranges.
The company said that there is no change in the quality and taste of the water itself.
The water is sourced from the town of Taiping while the bottles are made using recycled plastics.
The bottled water was recognised by the Belgium-based International Taste Institute and won three stars in its Superior Taste Award 2022.
The distribution of these label-free bottles will be limited initially and for now can be purchased on Spritzer's online store and at Spritzer EcoPark.
Spritzer manufactures and distributes natural mineral water, sparkling natural mineral water, distilled drinking water, non-carbonated fruit-flavoured drinks, and carbonated fruit-flavoured drinks and has been operating for more than 30 years.
The introduction of label-free bottles is part of its commitment towards reducing plastic usage while minimising the impact on the environment.
The move is also in line with the company’s commitment to become a fully circular brand by 2030.
The company has said that its water bottles are made of bisphenol A-free polyethylene terephthalate plastic materials.
