North American agrifood production line equipment manufacturer Storcan has announced the launch of STRAPALL, a new automated box closing and strapping machine designed specifically for the meat and fish processing sector.
Developed over a year, Storcan claims STRAPALL addresses a need for increased packaging automation in the industry.
"We are proud to introduce STRAPALL, our latest creation that embodies our dedication to providing our customers with cutting-edge solutions that address their most critical needs to support their growth,” said Flora Grimoire, marketing manager at Storcan, in a statement.
STRAPALL boasts several key features, including automatic box size adjustment. It also incorporates an advanced barcode reading system, which automatically analyses incoming boxes and adjusts the machine for various sizes, eliminating manual adjustments and boosting efficiency.
STRAPALL also features automatic flap closing that utilises four robotic arms to fold the box's upper flaps, ensuring a secure closure before strapping.
For user-friendliness, Storcan said STRAPALL comes with a simple interface and easy controls, allowing for quick size changes, effortless cleaning, and efficient maintenance, minimising downtime.
Built with high-quality components and a robust frame, the manufacturer highlighted that STRAPALL is designed to withstand the demanding conditions of agrifood packaging environments and adhere to strict food safety regulations.
"The launch of STRAPALL marks a new era of innovation at Storcan," added Grimoire. "We are committed to continuing to invest in research and development to better support our customers in their future growth and success."
