RecycleNation has been ranked as the top recycling tool on the internet and the second recycling-related site overall, according to a recently announced ranking by content management system software FeedSpot.

FeedSpot analyses what it considers to be the top recycling blogs from thousands of blogs and websites on the web and ranks them based on traffic, social media followers, and freshness.

RecycleNation is designed to help people in the US find a close location to responsibly recycle items they no longer want.

The site reportedly houses the world’s largest recycling database, with more than 100,000 unique data points for over 50 different items, all offered to the public free of charge.

RecycleNation has helped over 10m users find locations to recycle various types of items, including packaging. It now helps over 300,000 unique visitors per month with their specific recycling needs.

Recycling processes vary between US states. The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) National Recycling Goal aims to increase the overall US recycling rate from 32% to 50% by 2030.
