Twellium Industrial Company, a leading beverage manufacturer in West Africa, has joined forces with Sidel, a global provider of packaging solutions, to establish a state-of-the-art production facility in Kumasi, Ghana.

This strategic partnership aims to meet the growing demand for beverages in the region and strengthen Twellium's position as a market leader.

The new facility houses two advanced polyethylene terephthalate (PET) packaging lines capable of producing a wide range of beverages, including still and carbonated water, soft drinks, and energy drinks.

Equipped with Sidel's technology, the lines offer high-speed production, flexibility, and unmatched efficiency.

Sidel said one of the highlights of the facility is Africa's fastest complete PET water line, capable of producing 80,000 bottles per hour.

This line utilises Sidel's Combi solution, which integrates blow moulding, filling, and capping into a single, compact unit.

The facility also features a modern water treatment room and an automated cleaning-in-place (CIP) system.

In addition to the water line, the Kumasi plant boasts a high-speed carbonated soft drink line that can produce 65,000 bottles per hour.

This line is also equipped with Sidel's Combi solution and a customised EvoDECO Roll-Fed labeller that enables the application of QR codes on bottle caps, enhancing traceability and compliance with Ghanaian regulations.

The partnership between Twellium and Sidel is expected to have a significant impact on the Ghanaian beverage industry.

By investing in advanced technology and infrastructure, Twellium is not only meeting the increasing demand for beverages but also creating new job opportunities and contributing to the local economy.

“Sidel's complete PET packaging lines for Twellium ensure that beverage production volume meets affordability, allowing us to keep up with the constant increase in demand," said Ali Ajami, Twellium marketing director.

"This partnership not only drives efficiency but also creates more regional job opportunities, reinforcing Twellium as a proud leader in Ghana’s thriving beverage industry."
