Every one of these labels has been constructed using varying percentages of recycled fibres from responsible sources.

UPM Raflatac has rolled out a new collection of responsibly sourced wine, spirits and beverage label materials, named Rêverie 3.

This range has been launched in collaboration with five Spanish designers.

The Rêverie 3 collection is supported by other industry partners, including printing company Gráficas Varias, foils and tooling supplier Kurz, and bottles supplier Verallia.

With this newly introduced collection, the company aims to provide a dedicated selection of visually appealing labels to packaging designers.

UPM Raflatac Spain and Portugal packaging solutions manager Joss Ramel said: “The label designs in the Rêverie 3 collection were created for high-end wine, spirits, sparkling cider, craft beer and tomato juice drinks, with excellent execution of artworks with different printing techniques managed by Gráficas Varias.”

The labels are made using varying degrees of recycled fibres and therefore contribute to a circular economy system. These fibres have been sourced responsibly from Forest Stewardship Council-certified forests and several other controlled sources.

UPM provided five of its responsibly sourced label materials to five Spanish design agencies, including Estudio Series Nemo, Estudio Maba, Estudio Puigdemont Roca, Estudio Calcco, and Bulldog Studio, and briefed them in order to create the Rêverie 3 collection.

Estudio Maba designer Miguel Angel del Baño said: “Having a range of recycled papers with this much personality and quality, that are hyper-specialised, is amazing for us designers.”
