WePack, an independent contract packing company, has partnered with software provider Nulogy to digitalise its contract packing operations.
This strategic move is intended to boost WePack's agility and resilience in the sector.
The announcement was made at this year's Packaging Innovations & Empack event, where WePack outlined its plan to implement Nulogy’s Shop Floor Solution across its end-to-end workflows.
The digitalisation effort is set to provide WePack with enhanced visibility and traceability over inventory and materials and improve forecasting, labour capacity, line efficiency, and quality control.
The scheme is set to commence next month, with full implementation at WePack’s East Midlands, UK, production site expected to be completed in the second quarter (Q2) of this year.
Nulogy's presence at Packaging Innovations & Empack also included the launch of its 'Essential Package', designed for smaller contract packing operations.
This new offering promises a swift 15-day implementation period, aiming to maximise investment returns and minimise operational disruption.
WePack managing director Mick Clark said: "We are delighted to announce our partnership today with Nulogy at this leading industry event.
”Nulogy’s Shop Floor Solution provides us with invaluable real-time visibility and traceability into our production and warehouse activities and gives us the power to scale our operations and continue to deliver the exceptional service our customers know us for.”
With more than three decades of industry expertise, WePack offers specialised packing services, catering to sectors such as food, cosmetics, high-end consumer goods, and agriculture.
The company’s decision to adopt Nulogy's solution comes as brands increasingly seek external partners to deliver quality and cost-effective products.
