US-based laundry detergent brand all free clear has integrated NaviLens technology into its product packaging, starting with its MIGHTY PACS Original laundry detergent tubs and pouches.

This move aims to improve accessibility for consumers with visual impairments by incorporating a navigation and scanning app that interacts with smart codes into the packaging.

NaviLens technology utilises smart codes placed on the front of all free clear’s packaging.

These premeasured unit-dose detergent packs are known for their convenience, and with the addition of NaviLens, they become more accessible to a broader range of consumers.

By downloading the NaviLens app, users can scan the newly provided codes on the product packaging.

The app then detects the NaviLens codes and provides audible information, including the product name, type, and dosing instructions.

all free clear has highlighted that the incorporation of NaviLens can benefit not only individuals with blindness or low vision but also those facing language barriers and anyone who requires additional resources for navigating product information.

NaviLens CEO Javier Pita said: “Our partnership with all free clear laundry detergent marks an important step in offering NaviLens technology in everyday household products, enhancing the shopping experience for all consumers.

“It is our mission to empower people who are blind or have low vision through our cutting-edge technology.

“This collaboration represents another stride toward expanding NaviLens accessible codes to more everyday environments, positively impacting the daily experiences of millions.”
