FCA Packaging, a producer of industrial protective packaging solutions and a portfolio company of Wynnchurch Capital, has completed the acquisition of American company Viking Packing Specialist.

Viking Packing Specialist is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and runs facilities in both Oklahoma and Texas.

The company designs and supplies custom wooden crates, cases, metal containers, corrugated packaging, and packaging for hazardous materials. Its offerings serve several specialist industries.

The company’s packaging is used for electric vehicle batteries, aerospace equipment, defence items, and more.

FCA CEO David Wilsted said: “We are excited to expand FCA’s industry-leading product expertise with the addition of Viking’s reputation and capabilities in dangerous goods packaging.

“This acquisition allows FCA to better serve our customers nationwide while also expanding our presence and product offerings to customers in the Tulsa, Austin, and Dallas markets.”

Wynnchurch Capital, which owns FCA Packaging, is a private equity business focused on mid-sized businesses.

FCA Packaging was established in 1999 and is located in Rosemont, Illinois, US. It also maintains a related office in Canada.
