Consumer electronic accessory brands BGZ brands has enhanced its commitment to sustainability with new efforts.
The company, which owns three large device-accessory brands: BodyGuardz, Lander and Moxyo, pledged to make its packaging 100% recyclable and plastic-free.

By GlobalDataStarting from late-2020, BGZ brands will make all BodyGuardz and Lander packaging 100% paper while packaging for its Moxyo line will be plastic-free starting next year.
BGZ brands president and CEO Kirk Feller said: “At BGZ brands, it’s always been about helping people.
“That commitment extends to our recognition and responsibility to leave our surroundings better than we found them.
“Our team is committed to driving innovative solutions that support long-term sustainability and a promising future.”
In addition to the above commitment, BGZ brands will use soy-based ink on its packaging, which produces 20% lesser volatile organic compounds (VOCs) seen in petroleum-based inks.
It also pledges to leverage eco-friendly resources, including the use of bioplastics and recycled materials while its Lander products are made of recycled ocean plastics derived materials.
As part of this commitment, the company established partnerships with ocean plastic recycling company Repreve.
BGZ brands will also introduce multiple fulfilment centres for online and retail orders, thereby emitting lower carbon and faster shipping times for customers. It also reduced the size of its shipping boxes, which are made of 100% recyclable materials.
In July, desktop and mobile accessories provider Kensington launched a new line of eco-friendly packaging as part of its ongoing commitment to reduce its environmental footprint.
