TricorBraun Flex commercial vice-president Glenn Sacco said: “We are proud to partner with How2Recycle, joining its mission to take the guesswork out of recycling for consumers, and simplifying the process for our customers who seek sustainable packaging options.
“We’re ready to help customers with their packaging needs, no matter where they are in their sustainability journey.”
How2Recycle is a standardised labelling system that provides information on recyclability to consumers in the US and Canada. It is a project of the membership-based group Sustainable Packaging Coalition.
The How2Recycle label gives details on how consumers should prepare their packaging for disposal, including its recyclability, any preparation needed and any distinctions between packaging components.
Brands that are members of How2Recycle can submit a request in order to use the labelling system.
TricorBraun Flex focuses on several markets, including coffee, tea, pet food, nutrition and speciality foods. It manufactures stand-up pouches, flat pouches and more.
The company serves more than 4,500 customers in more than 50 countries.
Last month, packaging and foodservice products manufacturer Novolex announced the addition of the How2Recycle Store Drop-off label to its products.
The label would feature on all of the company’s plastic bags, packaging and poly mailers for shipping applications and security bags.
