Berhalter is proud to announce the launch of its latest product, the Swiss Die-Cutter™ B4, at Interpack Processing & Packaging in Düsseldorf, Germany. This revolutionary machine embodies Berhalter’s DNA of high performance, technology, intelligence, and excellence in die-cutting.
The Swiss Die-Cutter™ B4 flatbed die-cutting machine can efficiently and precisely die-cut various materials from rolls up to 430 mm wide, such as aluminium, plastic, paper, and composite materials. It is suitable for lids, labels, seals, and special products. The machine can handle medium to higher runs and can produce up to 227,000 lids and labels per hour with a tool 10 up Ø 75.5mm and a maximum speed of 500 strokes per minute.
One of the standout features of the Swiss Die-Cutter™ B4 is its digitalization and networking capabilities. Like its bigger sister, the B6, the B4 is equipped with up to 13 servo drives, and the punching drive is digitally controlled with adjustable opening stroke and digitally monitored cutting depth. The machine also has an active foil guide in the punching tool for optimum dimensional accuracy. The intelligent networking capabilities of the machine enable data-driven service, reliable monitoring of punching machines, RFID recording of tool and embossing data, and a dashboard with live data and data analysis, visualization of operating data, OEE, and KPIs.
Berhalter has more than 60 years of experience in die-cutting, and the Swiss Die-Cutter™ B4 is the latest addition to its portfolio of high-performance die-cutting machines. The company has more than 30 years of experience in remote support, and more than 10 years of experience in robotics.
