Monomatic has recently secured an alliance with KTI, a world-class manufacturer of automatic splicers, turret rewinders and other web converting equipment.
Monomatic was looking for a way to increase their product offerings to their current customer base in Europe and KTI provided the perfect opportunity. Monomatic has been around since the 1950s with a strong worldwide presence notably in the packaging field and offers products very similar to KTI’s current product line. The largest differences between the two product lines being size, speed and customidable options.
KTI offers nonstop unwinds and rewinds with roll diameters up to 50in (1,270mm), web widths up to 72in (1,829mm) and speeds up to 1,000fpm (305mpm). Monomatic equipment goes beyond that scope with roll diameters up to 86in (2,200mm), web widths up to 118in (3,000mm) and speeds of up to 3,280fpm (1,000mpm). The standard KTI product lines currently available perfectly complement Monomatic equipment offering to customers a more customizable product for unique custom applications.
Freddy Mermin, sales manager for Monomatic, will take on the role of European sales manager for the KTI equipment through Monomatic. In addition, KTI will represent and sell the Monomatic product line throughout the North American market helping both companies expand their coverage and build their businesses.
KTI has been looking for a way to increase their presence in Europe for the past few years and the alliance with Monomatic will help to accomplish this while also providing a wider customer base in North America with the sales of Monomatic equipment.
