Well over 1,000 visitors to the exhibition booth and more than 800 qualified enquiries from the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries – this was the highly successful outcome of the Romaco Group’s attendance at the Dusseldorf Interpack 2011.
The packaging specialist was especially delighted with the quality of the sales talks. “The majority of visitors came along with very specific ideas for projects; Interpack provided us with the ideal setting to plan future cooperations and design strategies,” Gary Kedgley, vice-president sales of the Romaco Group, reports. The Romaco booth at the recent event attracted a steady stream of prospective clients and interested parties from all over the world.
On the first three exhibition days alone, several detailed negotiations took place with potential buyers of the new Siebler strip packaging line with integrated robotic transfer station.
“It was the most promising Interpack I’ve experienced in the last 30 years,” Martin Grau, product manager at Romaco Siebler, confirms. Romaco took advantage of Interpack 2011 to show eight innovative machines and systems for manufacturing and packaging pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
“There’s been a huge leap in demand for highly flexible line concepts with excellent OEE values,” Kedgley explains. “Romaco hit exactly the right nerve at this year’s Interpack with its newest developments.”
The exhibition is widely acknowledged as the world’s premier forum for the packaging industry. Over 60% of the total of 166,000 trade visitors travelled to Interpack from abroad, with three quarters coming from top and middle management.
