Mondi Coatings & Consumer Packaging was the host of the Nordic Wrapping Convention, a cross-industry event for the paper and packaging sector. Experts from the finance, paper and transport industry gave insights into changing markets and requirements. Mondi presented a new service offer concept to reduce forecasting and sourcing risks as well as process costs for customers.

The concept offers customers support in handling and transporting their orders safely to the point of delivery. Paper is a strong but delicate material, which needs to withstand ever-growing transport distances as well as mechanical and moisture influences. Proper wrapping and adequate reel handling are indispensable for maintaining the high quality of the paper. Thus security of supply of the wrapping material is key. Mondi’s service offer concept – marketed as CombiPack® – addresses these topics and takes care of forecasting, planning, real time warehousing as well as optimisation of direct product costs, depending on the chosen service level. CombiPack® services are available for all wrapping grades.

The Nordic Wrapping Convention in Stockholm created a platform for knowledge transfer and in-depth discussions between experts of the paper and packaging industry. Mondi Coatings & Consumer Packaging hosted the event and offered customers and industry colleagues the opportunity to discuss mutual challenges. Tom K. Schäbinger opened the convention and invited everybody to take advantage of the networking opportunities with top-level experts from Nordea Sweden, Stora Enso, Metso Paper and Schenker as well as Mondi. The popular Swedish television presenter Göran Rosenberg was the moderator of the event.
