Metallised paper producer AR Metallizing (ARM) has won the prestigious Oscar de l’Emballage (packaging Oscar) in France for the best product in the Paper and Cardboard category.
ARM received the award for its environment-friendly metallised paper with ultra-gloss look intended for the packaging of consumer goods.
Unlike conventional material, ARM metallised paper contains no plastic film and is consequently significantly more energy-efficient to process, while no concessions are made to the glossy appearance of the packaging.
ARM paper is 100% recyclable and biologically degradable. As a consequence, ARM helps hundreds of companies in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector every year to minimise their ecological footprint.
These high-quality innovations have made ARM one of the fastest growing companies in Belgium. In a few years’ time, ARM’s turnover has more than tripled.
The company has three production sites in Genk, Belgium; Cassalgrasso ,Italy; and Franklin, US; where more than 300 employees work. ARM paper is used for more than 20 billion environment-friendly packaging boxes, for products such as champagne and toothpaste.
The awarding of the Oscars de l’Emballage is organised annually by the French periodical Emballages Magazine.
