India’s BENZ Packaging is set to enhance its global presence with a significant investment aimed at expanding its production capabilities and technological advancements.
The Indian packaging giant plans to invest Rs1.5bn ($17.1m) over the next five years, with a focus on augmenting production facilities, upgrading technology, and strengthening its position in the international market.
The company has recently established a new 90,000ft² domestic facility in Jhajjar, Haryana, which houses a fully automated corrugation unit, new extrusion and printing machinery, and the capacity for hardwood box and pallet manufacturing.
This move is part of BENZ Packaging’s strategy to serve its international customers better and increase its global business reach, with expansions into new regions such as Vietnam and Japan.
In addition to its new Indian facility, BENZ Packaging will construct plants in Vietnam, ensuring that modern technology is implemented and monitored across all regions to maintain the highest quality standards.
The investment will also concentrate on enhancing the company’s eco-friendly policies within its production processes.
Also, training and development of staff will be a key focus to ensure outstanding quality and operational standards at all BENZ Packaging centres.
BENZ Packaging is embracing AI to maximise its production efficiency, improve quality control, and enhance customer service.
BENZ Packaging director Chaitanya Chopra said: “This investment will further strengthen our leadership in the industrial and export packaging sectors.”
