British packaging manufacturer Colpac has launched a new line of food packaging products called Stagione Light.

The new range, an extension of the company’s existing Stagione line, is designed with both functionality and sustainability in mind.

The packaging is made from a single piece of Forest Stewardship Council-certified recyclable paperboard and is in line with UK and European recycling standards.

The Stagione Light range features three different sizes, offering a 500ml and 750ml rectangular option, and a 1,000ml square variant.

These packs are intended to serve both hot and cold dishes and are suitable for various food service environments, including retail and takeout services.

Practical design for foodservice

Stagione Light is designed with a grease-resistant barrier, making it leakproof, even when containing wet or ready-to-eat meals.

The packs can be used for a variety of food types, from chilled salads and baked goods to hot meals.

Colpac’s webbed design of the packaging ensures that it remains secure and functional in demanding food service settings.

The range is compatible with various lid options, including recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET), polypropylene (PP) clear lids, and paperboard lids coated with PP and PE. These lids create a tight seal, ensuring leak protection during transport and maintaining freshness when on display.

Stagione Light packs can also be film-sealed to further extend shelf life.

Sustainable and customisable packaging

Colpac has emphasised sustainability in the design of Stagione Light by using recyclable materials and commissioning new machinery to bring the range to market.

The packaging is also customisable, with all-over printing options available for businesses that want to maximise brand visibility.

The roll-top design allows for printing on the base of the pack, which can be used to display ingredient information or branding.

By broadening its product offerings with Stagione Light, Colpac aims to provide a cost-effective, sustainable solution for food service and retail environments.
