GMerix has announced that it has become the sole distributor of Polyplex’s Saraprint digital media films in Canada.
Saraprint is a non-tearable polyester film, which is suitable for applications such as flexible packaging, labels, customised digital printing, and mini-offset printing.
Alongside the distribution of Saraprint films, GMerix will provide custom coating and converting services.
This will enable customers to optimise the performance of Saraprint by integrating it with GMerix’s adhesives and coating technologies.
GMerix stated that the film offers thermal and dimensional stability and superior ink adhesion, ensuring compatibility with HP Indigo and dry toner digital printing machines.
As the exclusive distributor for Saraprint films in Canada, GMerix will be able to provide faster delivery and support, and Canadian businesses will no longer need to import Saraprint from international sources.
GMerix founder and CEO George Ambartsoumian said: “This partnership represents a major step forward in expanding our product offerings for the digital printing and labelling industry in Canada.
“By bringing Polyplex’s high-performance Saraprint films to the Canadian market and combining them with our coating and converting expertise, we are offering a complete solution to customers who need reliable, innovative label materials.”
The partnership expands GMerix’s range of products for industries needing facestocks and label stocks for digital printing applications.
For Polyplex, this collaboration bolsters its presence in North America by creating a direct distribution pathway into Canada.
Polyplex sales and marketing vice-president Manav Singh said: “We are excited to partner with GMerix as our exclusive Canadian distributor for Saraprint films.
“Their expertise in coating technologies and strong customer relationships make them the perfect partner to bring our products to a new market.
“We look forward to seeing how Canadian businesses leverage our films to create high-quality digital printing applications.”
