Reusable packaging containers provider IFCO has acquired BEPCO, a prominent reusable packaging pooling company based in Tallinn, Estonia.
BEPCO specialises in meat and dairy crate pools in the Baltics. This strategic acquisition is expected to bolster IFCO’s market presence and broaden its product portfolio in the region.
The acquisition of BEPCO is a significant step for IFCO, as it aims to combine the strengths and resources of both companies to deliver greater value to customers.
By leveraging the expertise and technological capabilities of BEPCO, IFCO said it intends to address the evolving needs of customers in the Baltics more effectively.
Michael Pooley, CEO of IFCO, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating:
“This strategic partnership allows us to deliver even greater value to our customers by leveraging the strengths of both organisations. IFCO and BEPCO share a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability. Together, we will continue to innovate, promote sustainability, and provide the high-quality packaging solutions our customers expect.”
Margus Ärm, CEO of BEPCO, echoed Pooley’s sentiments, emphasising the benefits of the collaboration for customers, employees, and stakeholders.
“By combining our expertise, we look forward to contributing to a more sustainable future and customer-centric approach. And together, we will advance the technological development of the pooling solutions, broaden our geographical footprint, and elevate the supply chain to the next level.”
Despite the acquisition, BEPCO will continue to operate under its own brand in the region. However, BEPCO customers will benefit from IFCO’s extensive global experience in providing reusable packaging in a sustainable circular economy model.
The merger of BEPCO and IFCO will unite the best local and global operating expertise, providing an enhanced customer experience and the financial backing to scale the business.
