French company Malo Dairy, part of SILL Enterprises, has debuted ultra-high-temperature milk packaged in Pure-Pak cartons, developed by Elopak, a global supplier of carton packaging and filling equipment.

The UHT milk, a recent addition to the Malo range, is produced using the aseptic filling line that was installed by SILL in 2024.

SILL PLF Division development director Michel Guigo said: “The Malo Dairy is at the heart of SILL operations that are firmly rooted in Brittany [France].

“Malo milk comes only from grass-fed cows collected from the dairy’s neighbouring farms. The result is milk with a full taste that is rich in nutrients and natural properties.

“In 2025 Elopak and SILL Enterprises celebrate 30 years of working in partnership since 1995 to develop effective and sustainable packaging solutions.”

The filling process employs the E-PS120AH machine, capable of handling various sizes and board configurations for Pure-Pak cartons.

Additionally, the machine allows for the option of cartons with or without an aluminium barrier.

Based in Saint-Malo, a historic port on the Brittany coast, Malo Dairy is known for producing a range of dairy products such as yoghurts, desserts, cheeses, and butter.

Elopak France’s Guillaume Calmels said: “We have nurtured a partnership based on understanding, trust and dedication to quality, sustainability and innovation.

“We are proud to develop our collaboration with SILL and we thank the Malo brand for choosing our Pure-Pak Sense aseptic packaging for the launch of its UHT milk.”

Last month, Elopak announced that it was bolstering its research and development capabilities by investing in Blue Ocean Closures.
