Packaging One, a UK-based provider of packaging solutions, unveils expansion plan following a seven-figure funding deal with NatWest and its asset finance partner, Royal Bank of Scotland Invoice Finance.

The expansion will see the company increase its workforce to 80 people and move to a new 44,000ft² facility in Middlewich, England.

Led by husband-and-wife team Ian and Emma Chesworth, Packaging One is known for its patented product, MediaWrap, which is designed to protect trade-in and recycled mobile devices.

This expansion is set to bolster Packaging One’s manufacturing capabilities, allowing for the purchase of new machinery and the accommodation of a growing team.

Packaging One director Emma Chesworth said: “We have been working with the NatWest team for almost two decades. Over that time, they have partnered with us to support our business and helped us reach key milestones around our growth and expansion.”

The packaging company recently secured a contract with a global tech company for the MediaWrap product.

NatWest senior relationship manager Claire Morley said: “We are thrilled to support Ian, Emma and the Packaging One family as they begin a new chapter in their business development.

“As the UK’s biggest bank for small businesses, we work collaboratively with customers to understand their needs and help them find solutions to support their businesses as they grow.

“The deal is fantastic news for the business but also for the wider community, and we wish Ian, Emma and Packaging One every success in their future business growth aspirations.”
