Packsize, a frontrunner in right-sized, on-demand packaging solutions, has announced two significant developments aimed at revolutionising the shipping industry’s efficiency and environmental impact.
Strategic alliance with Paccurate
This collaborative effort, currently exclusive to North America, merges Packsize’s on-demand packaging equipment with Paccurate’s sophisticated cartonisation technology.
This combination empowers businesses to achieve new heights in packaging efficiency with:
Reduced waste and costs: By precisely matching the perfect box size to the product, the solution minimises the use of unnecessary packaging materials, leading to cost savings in both materials and transportation.
Enhanced efficiency: Integrating Paccurate’s API with existing warehouse management systems allows for seamless generation of a near-unlimited range of box sizes, tailored for Packsize’s right-sized packaging machines. This eliminates the need for manual adjustments and streamlines the packaging process.
“This collaboration is not just about technological integration; it’s about redefining what’s possible in packaging efficiency and freight savings,” remarked Steve Larsen, Packsize’s vice-president of Global Strategic Partnerships.
“By leveraging the best of both platforms, we’re opening up new possibilities for shippers to optimise their packaging processes and meet their sustainability goals in previously unimaginable ways. It’s an exciting time for us, and we’re thrilled to embark on this journey with Paccurate.”
The Easy-Close solution
Complementing the Paccurate partnership, Packsize unveiled Easy-Close, an innovative feature specifically designed to address the challenge of customer returns in a sustainable manner.
This addition to the X7 on-demand packaging machine incorporates a resealable adhesive strip onto the package, facilitating a hassle-free return process while minimising waste.
This feature holds value for industries such as e-commerce and apparel, which grapple with high return rates.
Packsize said Easy-Close eliminates the need for additional packaging materials during the return process, promoting reusability and reducing environmental footprint.
“Designing Easy-Close was about tackling a significant issue in the e-commerce and apparel industries – making returns as hassle-free and as environmentally sustainable as possible for the customer,” said Jesse Nelson, X7 product manager at Packsize.
