ProAmpac, a flexible packaging solutions provider, has broadened its dairy packaging offerings with advanced butter wrap solutions.

The new additions include the Butter Fresh Parchment solution and a foil-paper composite option, designed for butter, margarine, and other fat-based solid products.

ProAmpac noted that the wraps are engineered to provide both grease resistance and dead-fold characteristics.

These wrap features reduce air contact and prevent grease seepage, thus ensuring products stay in optimal condition for longer, the company added.

The foil-paper composite wrap, meanwhile, is designed to offer a strong grease barrier and protection from UV rays, safeguarding the product’s integrity.

With an embossing feature, it enhances processing efficiency while adding texture, ultimately improving its dead-fold performance during production.

Additionally, the wrap also boasts a durable bond, preventing delamination and curling, which ensures its stability even during high-volume processing.

This makes it a reliable option for fast-paced production environments, where durability is key.

ProAmpac product development vice-president Jim Tierney said: “With Butter Fresh Parchment, we’re delivering a wax-free, PFAS [per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances]-free solution with excellent grease resistance and designed for compostability.

“Paired with our durable foil-paper-based wrap, these solutions ensure efficient processing and premium product presentation.”

In addition to the butter wraps, ProAmpac’s portfolio includes a variety of dairy packaging solutions such as lidding, cheese packaging, and spouted yoghurt pouches.

The company said that its PRO-FLEX films are tailored to meet the demands of both the natural chunk and shredded cheese markets, whether for retail or institutional use.

Last month, ProAmpac expanded its ProActive Intelligence portfolio with new moisture-adsorbing films within the Moisture Protect series.

The new moisture-adsorbing films are designed to enhance product protection and support sustainability in flexible packaging.
