US-based packaging company TricorBraun has completed the acquisition of Euroglas and Glaspack, two distributors of rigid packaging solutions based in Germany and Austria, respectively.

The deals were announced in January this year.

These acquisitions expand TricorBraun’s presence in the DACH region, which comprises Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Euroglas and Glaspack, both founded in 1992, are family-run businesses.

Euroglas supplies glass packaging for the food, beverage, and spirits industries, offering both stock and custom solutions.

Meanwhile, Glaspack focuses on stock and custom packaging for the wine, beer, and food sectors.

The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

TricorBraun COO Mark O’Bryan said: “We are pleased to grow our European presence and to welcome two companies known for delivering quality packaging and exceptional customer service.

“We have great respect for the Euroglas and Glaspack teams, and we look forward to working with them to support customer growth across Europe.”

Founded in 1902, TricorBraun employs more than 2,200 staff members across 100-plus locations in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Euroglas managing director Cristoph Jäckle said: “We’re excited to join a global packaging leader firmly committed to the European marketplace.

“This new chapter in our journey will enhance our reach and service capabilities while offering more comprehensive packaging options.”

In February this year, TricorBraun acquired Veritiv Containers, a provider of glass, plastic, and metal containers.

Veritiv Containers, formerly known as All American Containers, supplies rigid packaging for many different sectors.
