Researchers from the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) have teamed up with Capra Robotics and Newtec A/S to investigate how hyperspectral imaging and a mobile robot platform can help winemakers assess when their grapes are ready for harvest.
Earlier this year, they were at Kimesbjerggaard Vineyard to test it.
The idea of the research project is to let a robot with a hyperspectral camera roam the field and take pictures of the grapes.
The technology is applicable in many other contexts and many industries.
